BOROS × Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien [2020]
Art Direction Pitch / Exhibition Design
Beethoven’s music doesn’t sit still — it builds, retreats, surges, and dissolves. For the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien's exhibition marking his 250th birthday, that dynamic became the design logic. A generative system was developed, rooted in the principle: the pianissimo-to-fortissimo range as a visual variable. Dots — expanding and contracting in size and density — serve as the key visual element, translating the score’s intensity into form. The result is a flexible identity that behaves like the music it references: never static, always in motion.

In an alternative concept we explored the visualizartion of music with elements of musical notiation. With a creative coding concept a generative design aesthetic is applied throughout the campaign.
